Neurotoxin Injectables
What are Neurotoxins/Neuromodulators?
Neurotoxins or neuromodulators are injectable treatments that are used to relax hyperactive facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the face. Constant contraction of the facial muscles can lead to deepening of wrinkles overtime.
The purified form of botulinum toxin is a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Botox works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that is involved in the contraction of muscles. This results in temporary muscle paralysis or weakening, which can be used for a variety of medical and cosmetic purposes.

How Long Does it Last?
You will start to see the result of your Neuromodulator injections in the first week after treatment and will continue to improve over the coming weeks. The effects will typically last 3-4 months but are patient dependent. After repeated injections, some patients see that their injections will last longer and can space out their treatments
So many people do Botox and Neuromodulator injections! Why go to a Facial Plastic Surgeon?
While many people are licensed to administer Botox, the magic is in the injector. Dr Klimczak is a qualified and trained Facial Plastic Surgeon who can analyze and determine how YOUR facial muscles move and work to treat them best. While everyone has similar anatomy, not everyone uses their facial muscles the same. Botox has a wide range of benefits that can be tailored to the individual patient.
Benefits
Reduced wrinkles and fine lines: Botox injections can help smooth out wrinkles and fine lines on the face, particularly around the eyes, forehead, and mouth.
Non-invasive: Botox injections are a non-invasive treatment, which means that they do not require surgery or incisions. This can make them a more attractive option for people who want to improve their appearance without undergoing surgery.
Quick procedure: Botox injections are a relatively quick procedure, usually taking no more than 15-20 minutes. This means that you can have the treatment done during your lunch break and return to work immediately afterwards.
Minimal recovery time: Because Botox injections are non-invasive, there is minimal recovery time required. Most people can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure.
Long-lasting results: The effects of Botox injections typically last between three and six months, which means that you can enjoy smoother, more youthful-looking skin for an extended period of time.
Versatility: Botox injections can be used to treat a range of cosmetic concerns, including frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead wrinkles.
It's important to note that while Botox injections can provide significant cosmetic benefits, they should only be performed by a qualified and experienced Facial Plastic Surgeon
